What to see

It was fun to explore all of the historical landmarks in St. Augustine. Castillo de San Marcos, an 18th-century Spanish fort with stunning ocean views from Castillo de San Marcos is our favorite stop; also visiting Lightner Museum – once an abandoned hotel that now holds an extensive collection of antiques and art – was always exciting!

We also tour the Old Town. St Augustine’s Old Town district offers history and charm galore, boasting cobblestone streets, unique stores and restaurants, centuries-old structures, and centuries of culture to explore. Take a stroll through its cobbled lanes to soak in all that makes St Augustine such an extraordinary city!

The Old Town Trolley tour is a great way to explore St. Augustine in a very short time. You will visit over 100 places of interest, including the Old Jail and Flagler College. We had a very friendly, knowledgeable conductor who shared an interesting narrative about St Augustine’s rich history.

You can discover a different perspective of St. Augustine by taking a sightseeing boat tour. The tour will take you to the Bridge of Lions National Monument and the National Shrine of Our Lady of La Leche. You can also spot dolphins and learn about the history of the sites from the narration of your captain.
